As a death scythe, Soul is responsible for collecting and consuming 'witches' - sentient beings born from negative human emotions - to maintain the balance of the world. Paired with the enthusiastic and powerful meister Maka Albarn, Soul carries out his duties with a unique blend of humor, reluctance, and determination. Despite his sarcastic demeanor, Soul possesses a kind heart and will go to great lengths to protect those he cares about, even when it means confronting his own fears and insecurities.
