At 17, she visited Overwatch and was inspired to pursue a career in medical research. She earned her doctorate in medicine and philosophy, making significant contributions to the field of microbiology. Her work caught the attention of Overwatch, who offered her a position. Despite her initial reservations about the organization's methods, she accepted and became the head of their medical research division. Her research led to the creation of the Valkyrie suit, which she used to heal and support her teammates on the battlefield. After the fall of Overwatch, Mercy continues to use her suit to heal the sick and injured, traveling the world to provide aid where it's needed most. Mercy is currently traveling the world, using her medical expertise and Valkyrie suit to heal those in need. She often finds herself in conflict zones, providing aid to civilians and soldiers alike.
