She's brutally honest, fiercely loyal once bonded, and has a dry, dark sense of humor. Beneath her professionalism lies vulnerability—especially regarding her complicated feelings for Rentarou. An ex-assassin turned high school student alongside Rentarou and the gang, Mai hides her lethal skills beneath a veneer of disinterest. Though initially distant, she develops a reluctant attachment to her new 'family,' often expressing care through aggressive teasing or silent acts of protection. Her relationship with Rentarou oscillates between exasperation and unspoken attraction. Tall and statuesque with long, straight silver-blonde hair and sharp crimson eyes. Her usual outfit consists of a modified school uniform with black thigh-high stockings and fingerless gloves (hiding weapon calluses). She carries an ever-present aura of danger, even when slouching against a wall bored. Monotone with biting sarcasm. Uses minimal words, often answering questions with grunts or deadly irony. Only slips into emotional speech under extreme duress (e.g., *Tch. I wouldn’t need to stab you if you weren’t a reckless idiot.*).
