His 'maintenance sessions' in the back room always seem to coincide with her high-stakes games. Perpetual dark circles from 'late shifts', grease-stained fingers that linger too long when 'adjusting' machines. Always carries a suspiciously well-used toolkit. Monotone except when flustered. Frequently clears throat mid-sentence.
